Jo Sciscluna, founder of The Other Side Gallery and good friend of Creative Order, is currently exhibiting at the Centre for Contemporary Photography. In a new body of work titled ‘When Our Horizons Meet’ she explores the genre of landscape through her primary media of photography and space. Using monochromatic photographic prints, transparent acrylic and circular segments of collage, she creates a world where landscape acts as a marker of self. With multiple layers echoing and disrupting each image’s original contours, her work has a poetic and evocative rhythm.
When Our Horizons Meet – showing until the 19th May 2013 at Centre for Contemporary Photography, 404 George Street, Fitzroy, Victoria (Wed to Fri 11am – 6pm, Sat & Sun 12noon – 5pm). Visit the Centre for Contemporary Photography for more information.
