Vivid Sydney – Design agency out-and-about

Knocking off early one evening last week, we headed out into Sydney’s crisp winter’s air, camera in hand to capture some of the amazing light projections from this year’s Vivid Sydney. Our entire design agency has been truly inspired by the creativity in this year’s Vivid festival. Vivid Sydney commissioned award-winning international artists ’59 Productions’ to create the projected artwork on the sails of the Sydney Opera House, Vivid LIVE’s most public event.

59 Productions have been lauded for developing ‘the most sophisticated use of film in the theatre to date’ (Metro) and creating ‘an entirely new art form’ (The Guardian), the light projections take the iconic Opera House building on a dramatic journey through time – from the birth of architecture and civilization through to the pinnacle of human and technological achievement.

The detail, clarity and sharpness of the projections were truly remarkable, and can there be a better looking blank canvas on which to create such a dazzling display as the Sydney Opera House?
