Zest+Zing: Brand Name & Brand Identity Design

The Creative Order team are zinging with excitement to launch a new brand into the world. An exciting new nutrition consulting business, helping with everything from healthy eating through to a active lifestyle advice. The team at brand agency Creative Order delivered everything for this great new start up brand. We developed the branding strategy ‘a healthy helping’, the brand name ‘Zest+Zing’, the logo design including brand identity, the copywriting, the final print design and of course most importantly, the website design and development complete with eCommerce functionality.

The creative concept behind the Zest+Zing brand name, was to create something playful, emotive and of course food related. A zest for life, for energy and happiness. The concept is also a solid foundation for future marketing and communications, flowing through all marketing touch points and copyrighting, for example ‘A Zest for Health+Happiness’ or ‘a Zest for an Active Lifestyle’. This of course helps to further remind and enforce the new name and business, helping the name stick.

Our brand strategy was to ensure that the Zest+Zing brand personality be perceived as a serious, professional service, rather than a cottage industry blog, which our research showed a lot of Nutrition services seemed to drift towards. We wanted to show Zest+Zing as an informative health service, which is less bedroom banter and much more medical knowledge. We then looked to balance the serious side of the brand with an important sense of playfulness, personality and quirkiness. This quirkiness was where the idea for the logo design was born out of. The smiling ‘G’ reiterates how Zest+Zing customers feel; happy and energised.
